This tutorial is targeting complete beginners - no prior programming knowledge is assumed. Allow 3-4 hours to work through all of the exercises.

This tutorial brings together material from the internet into a sequence of exercises that step through all aspects of software required for a basic drivable robot. As such, the tutorial is not attempting to teach programming directly but rather, it is an aid for teams to get started as quickly as possible.

Starting with imaging the radio and the roboRIO the exercises describe how to prepare a project and deploy this to the robot for testing and also describe how to permanently deploy your project to the roboRIO prior to a tournament. The final exercise describes how to use LabVIEW to customise the out-of-the-box LabVIEW project to control an additional motor.
