Who Are We?
ICRobotics is a group of high school aged students and professional mentors from around Melbourne, who have come together to form a robotics team currently based in eastern suburbs. We meet weekly to design and build a washing-machine sized robot during the ‘build season’. Our robot then competes against other robots from around Australia (and sometimes the wider world!) in a themed game that changes every season.

What is FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC)?
FRC is an international robotics competition for high school aged students. Students involved in the FRC program learn skills in Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Networking and Teamwork. During an intensive “Build Season”, students across the world use innovative thinking to solve real-world challenges incorporated into a sports-model competition. At FRC events, teams network, collaborate, and compete for various awards related to both innovation in Engineering and Entrepreneurship. “With limited time and resources, teams of around 10 or more students build and program robots to perform challenging tasks against a field of competitors. They must also raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and perform community outreach. In addition to learning valuable STEM and life skills, participants are eligible to apply for $80M+ in college scholarships”
